Apple unveiled iPhone 17, the next generation of its iconic smartphone, featuring a new Center Stage front camera, a larger and brighter 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, and the powerful A19 chip for faster performance and efficiency.

The new Center Stage front camera brings selfies and video calls to the next level with higher resolution, a wider field of view, and AI-powered framing that adapts for group shots or landscape selfies without having to rotate the device. Users can also record with the front and rear cameras at the same time using Dual Capture.

On the back, iPhone 17 debuts a 48MP Fusion Main camera with built-in 2x Telephoto and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera for expansive, detailed shots and macro photography. Together, they deliver stunning photos, 4K HDR video, and immersive spatial captures designed to be experienced on Apple Vision Pro.

The Super Retina XDR display is bigger and brighter, with ProMotion for smooth scrolling, gaming, and video playback. A new Ceramic Shield 2 front cover provides 3x better scratch resistance and reduced glare, while peak outdoor brightness reaches 3000 nits — the brightest iPhone display yet.

Powered by the A19 chip, iPhone 17 delivers a leap in speed, graphics, and AI performance. With improved efficiency and iOS 26’s Adaptive Power Mode, users can expect all-day battery life and up to 30 hours of video playback. Fast charging delivers up to 50% charge in just 20 minutes with Apple’s new 40W Dynamic Power Adapter.

iPhone 17 starts at 256GB of storage, with a 512GB option also available. It comes in five new finishes: black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white.

Pre-orders begin Friday, September 12, with availability starting Friday, September 19. Prices start at $799 (U.S.).
