IK Multimedia releases The Code: Urban DNA Kits and The Code: Urban R&B Edition, the first 2 volumes in a series of SampleTank libraries created in partnership with sound designer and producer Donald "Don P" Johnson of GOAT Audio. Recapturing the DNA and soul that runs through urban music, each library consists of a variety of modern urban styles in the form of construction kits and stems.
Both volumes of The Code are custom-tailored to leverage the full power of SampleTank's deep processing and synthesis tools, allowing users to customize and mix and match kits for an unlimited supply of fresh R&B sounds.

Both The Code Volume 1: Urban DNA Kits and The Code Volume 2: Urban R&B Edition offer A-List content, hand-picked from a much larger library to ensure that producers, beatmakers and composers have access to the best sounds. All sounds were processed through over 1 million dollars of outboard gear to guarantee a sonically superior product. Industry-leading converters, outboard FX, filters and processors were used to make this product one of a kind.
From Legendary to Contemporary
The Code Volume 1: Urban DNA Kits includes 30 construction kits covering the current styles of trap, urban R&B, hip hop and underground trap. It features haunting melodies, sexy progressions, cracking drums, huge 808s and bass, custom vocal samples and floating melodies.
The Code Volume 2: Urban R&B Edition offers 20 construction kits covering more styles of R&B, R&B Soul, New Vintage R&B and Urban R&B. Users will find tons of modern keyboard progressions, lush strings and pads, catchy lead lines and more. All of the above are radio-ready right now.
Customizable Kits
Each construction kit comes with two presets of different playback algorithms: one standard resample for the best audio quality and one PSTS from the S.T.R.E.T.C.H engine to sync to the host tempo. Each kit preset uses the 8 SampleTank macro knobs for instant control of separate HP and LP Filters, a mastering EQ, FET compression and studio plate reverb along with a third resonant LP Filter on the mod wheel for real-time performance.
Mixing Kits and Stems
Each construction kit also includes the full mix, music mix and drum mix along with all the individual stems from the multitrack production going up the keyboard chromatically. It starts with kick, then snare, then the next drum and percussion instruments followed by the bass, and finally all the additional pitched stems. This gives users the control needed to build songs using just some of the stems from the construction kit, and then dropping loops in and out as desired to create instant arrangements.
Built for SampleTank
Both volumes of The Code are designed to work perfectly with SampleTank, with its full effects available on the Effects panel for further tone-shaping and customization. All parts are separated and include key and tempo so users can easily mix and match for almost unlimited combinations. For that perfect radio-ready chord progression, strings, drum sample, 808, synth sound, or hit melody The Code will be a product users turn to.
