Facebook acquires Spool

Yesterday it was revealed that Facebook has acquired mobile social bookmarking company Spool. In a post on the company’s blog, the Spool team told users that it was joining forces with the world’s largest social network, but details on the acquisition have yet to be revealed.

It looks like Facebook won’t be bringing the Spool name to any of the services the team will now be working on. Instead, the company’s staff will be joining Facebook. The Spool service however, will be shutting down. Sorry Spool users. The company has already sent an email to users telling them how to move their bookmarks to another service.
