This is pretty much what we knew already, since we have been calling Google’s next-gen operating system Jelly Bean, but now the name is official and we know for sure. ASUS has confirmed the name Jelly Bean. Not only that, but the company says that they will likely be among the first to get the new OS.

We will likely see Android 5.0 hit within the next year. Asus VP Benson Lin, says that “Asus is very close to Google, so once they have Android 5.0 I think there will be a high possibility that we will be the first wave to offer the Jelly Bean update.”
If you have been looking forward to this sugary operating system, there you go. Good news. Hopefully we won’t have that long of a wait, but you never know. At any rate, it will be here before you know it.
